  Halloween 2005
It was eventful, as most things involving my family are. Becca and Jake's car broke down on the way out to our house, so we had a late start. Ethan fell down at about the third or fourth house they went trick or treating at and refused to go back out. But, we all had a good time anyway. Ethan loves visiting us. He really enjoyed playing with all the pillows on our couch. The last photo is what the couch looked like when we got back from driving them home to Lilburn. Ethan and Wyatt are both such cuties!

  Disappointing game
Well, the Florida game was closer than a lot of people thought it was going to be, but Georgia just couldn't do it. We would've won if Shockley had been in - I'm convinced of that. And at least we weren't wearing the ugliest uniforms I've ever seen like Florida!!!

  The "Atlanta Anthem"
Some geniuses decided that Atlanta needs an anthem and it is terrible!!! I wanted to post a link to it, but I can't find it anywhere to download. Maybe it will be on the Brand Atlanta Campaign website soon. The logo is pretty crappy too. Idiots.

  The home stretch!
The election is almost over. 2 weeks from yesterday! So, if anyone is interested in coming out to Loganville on November 8th and celebrating (hopefully) with us, we'd love to have you. We are going to wait for the results and then have a get together to celebrate - maybe in the clubhouse in our neighborhood.

Also, Jake graduates Police Academy on November 10th and Becca wants to get a lot of people to come to his graduation.

You can email me if you are interested in either event and I'll get the information for you. The more the merrier!!!

  From Saturday...

  Comments
The comments don't seem to be working right now. I apoligize and hope that the problem will be fixed soon.

Pregnancy does kind of make you feel like you're losing your mind.
I don't know which is worse - accidentally forgetting to change from flip-flops into nice shoes for church yesterday (on communion Sunday, no less) or finding the spare keys to my car in the crisper in the refrigerator. Probably the keys were worse, but it was a little nerve-wracking to kneel down in front of the church knowing my casual Old Navy flip-flops were sticking out at everyone.

  Dang-it, Arkansas!
That was a heart attack game for sure! I don't think it would've been nearly as close if Shockley had stayed in. If he doesn't come back next week we may need a miracle to beat Florida. There's always hope, though.

  Ethan's Pumpkin
Becca sent these photos earlier today. She said, "Ethan went to the pumpkin patch at preschool today. He decorated the pumpkin he picked."

  Home
I just wanted to let everyone know that Becca, Ethan and Wyatt made it home safely last night. I'm glad that they're back. I missed them!

  Paralyzed doggie
Austin and Holly are so cute in the morning. She sleeps in "her room" (the bathroom) so when I go to get her I turn on the light and she slowly starts getting up and stretching. Her eyes are usually half closed as they adjust to the light. As I put her leash on she usually licks my face and then I take her outside to go to the bathroom.

By the time we get back inside and I give her a treat, she is awake and starting to get hyper. So, that's when I open the door to the bedroom and she goes running in to find Austin getting ready. She jumps as high as she can (which is about to his waist) and runs around his feet in circles. He leans down and pets her. Then she does what we call "paralyzed doggie" where she stretches herself across the floor and pulls her body with her front legs, dragging her back legs behind her. She looks really funny and really cute when she does it. Austin says, "oh, look at that poor paralyzed doggie."

Then, I usually take her back out to the living room. When Austin is ready for work he comes out and Holly starts jumping on him again like she hasn't seen him in a week. If he has time to sit in his leather chair, she jumps in his lap before he even has a chance to sit down.

  Why is it so hot?
It feels pretty good at night and in the morning, but during the day, it is too freakin' hot for October. The leaves on the trees haven't even started changing and we're only about a week and a half away from Halloween!

  Pregnancy Journal - Month 6 (Week 20)
Today marks the beginning of week 20 of my pregnancy. This is the halfway point.

Physical/Emotional: I am getting much bigger, but feeling much better. We had the ultrasound yesterday to find out the baby is a boy. His heart rate is 142. The doctor said everything looked normal. Thank God! I am still really tired, but I don't know if that is just lack of sleep or the pregnancy. I am trying not to stress out, but it is hard. I stay too worried about Austin and the election. There are too many jerks out there that just want to hurt him which makes me sad. Luckily he does have a lot of support too, though.

Food: I bought some boiled peanuts at a roadside stand and ate them today. Yum.

Other Thoughts: Yesterday's ultrasound was very interesting. It is really weird to see the baby moving all over the place even though I can't feel it. It actually looked like he was punching me, which scares me just a little bit. Anyway, now I am really wondering what he will look like and how big he will be. I hope he's a curlyhead like me. And I hope he's blonde with blue eyes, but I'm sure he'll be cute no matter what. Anyway, I just keep getting more and more excited and my mind keeps wandering further and further from things that I really should be thinking about. Oh well. Anyway, here are the pictures from the ultrasound. The technician was making fun of me for saying the baby's face looks "creepy" but I stand by my statement; if that face isn't creepy looking, I don't know what is!

Well, it looks like we're going to have another boy in the family!
Austin said if me and Rebecca aren't careful we're going to end up with a baseball team pretty soon. Too bad I hate baseball! But, I would go to the games if my son played. Okay, so now we really have to decide on a boy name we can both agree on. That will be difficult. Somehow, Austin is back around to Julius again. I don't think so!
