Beth took more pictures of Ashley and Matt's Wedding...
You can see them

Happiness and Sadness
The wedding went off without a hitch on Saturday and it was absolutely gorgeous. I hope to post the pictures sometime today or tomorrow. Ashley and Matt leave for their honeymoon today. I hope they have a wonderful vacation!
And, on a sadder note, Andrea's parents' house burned down last week. My thoughts are most certainly with them in this horrible and stressful time.
I love my shampoo!
Okay, so this may not be interesting to too many people, but I just have to say that my shampoo and conditioner are so wonderful. I have been using Redken Smooth Down shampoo and conditioner and my hair is looks and feels great. If there is anybody else out there with lots of dry, curly hair, I highly recommend this stuff. It may be a little pricey, but it is sooooo worth it.
I have been a little preoccupied...
Wow, I have been super slack about posting lately. Sorry. Well, the big weekend is almost here. Today I go shopping. Tomorrow I get a manicure and pedicure. Friday is the Bridesmaid luncheon, rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Saturday is the wedding and Sunday we have brunch with Ashley and Matt before they leave on their honeymoon. I love weddings!!! And I just know this one will be beautiful.
Didn't Nietzsche say God is dead?
All I know is that
Dawn of the Dead just pushed
Passion of the Christ out of the number one position at the box office. Well, that's America for you.
We're on the map now!
The new super Wal-mart opened in Loganville on Wednesday. It has really been a big thing. On one hand, it is pretty convenient having it right down the street, but on the other hand I think traffic will most certainly get worse. It has been crazy to see how many people are parked there at all hours. And so a small town becomes part of the giant suburban Atlanta area.
I got my desk up at the new office yesterday. It is so beautiful and has so much storage. I can't wait to start working in there!
Mrs. Partrich
Well, two weeks from today we will be having brunch with Mr. and Mrs. Partrich and I'm not talking about Matt's parents. With Ashley and Matt's wedding less than two weeks away, I am really getting excited. I know it will be so much fun! Austin went to Matt's bachelor party yesterday and had a blast. They played golf and Whirly Ball and Austin couldn't stop talking about how fun it was when he got home. Since he was gone all day I hung out with Ethan and Becca and my mom and dad most of the day. My mom and I got lots of new clothes and I had a good time with my family. On Friday Austin and I went to see "Secret Window" with Becca, Jake, Andrea and Joe. I was very entertained by it. It was kind of a suspense/dark comedy film. And Johnny Depp made the movie. I just love him!
Odd weather...
Click on the thumbnail below to see what the sky looked like outside our house today. I was amazed at how clear it looked to the west and how dark and stormy it looked towards the east. There is also a picture that my dad took in McDonough, Georgia below my panorama from Loganville.
Letter from my Grandmother
I loved my grandmother, but she was a little strange (aren't we all?). Here is a letter I found yesterday that she wrote me years ago:
June 29, 1991 (so I would've been 13 at the time)
Dear Elizabeth,
Hope you are well. You said the other day that you were too tall. That is not so. All the really beautiful girls are tall - like models and movie stars. It helps to stay slim.
All you have to do to stay slim is eat very little fat. It is the fat in food that makes one fat. Drink 8 glasses of water a day and learn to like vegetables and fish. No sugar. I had a cousin who thought she was too tall and grew up hunched over trying not to look tall - pretty silly.
Well, just thought you might like a word from your other grandma.
Love,
Winnie
Grandpa also sends his love.
We don't think you are too tall or fat.
It snowed Thursday and it is 70 degrees today - That's Georgia!
Our weather is so strange. It was great to see how many people had snowmen in their yard when it snowed. And they all looked so different. What I think is really funny is that part of one snowman down the street still remains (and it has been in the 50's and 60's for the past two days!). Now there are just 2 balls of snow on the ground. I'm sure they will be gone in the next hour or so.
Well, I think I've reaffirmed that I'm a cat person
We gave the dog back. He was pretty shaky and scared when we first got him and we thought he would warm up to us. He loved me and followed me all over the place and was very sweet, but for some reason, he started to not like Austin. He began running away from him when he took him out and showing absolutely no interest in him. It was really sad, because Austin is so good with dogs. I have never seen a dog or child that doesn't just love him. Anyway, we decided that since he was the one that wanted the dog in the first place, we didn't need a dog that only I could take care of. It was a tough decision and a really difficult few days, so we decided we didn't want to possibly have to go through this again.
